These are the LMU offices parents most often need, with the contact details each office publishes. For anything about grades or records, remember your student usually has to authorize the university to share them with you.

Dates and breaks
When is LMU Family Weekend 2026?
Family Weekend runs October 21 to 25, 2026. Most events begin mid day Thursday, October 22, and the schedule runs through Sunday, October 25. Registration is $90 through October 12 and $100 from October 13 to 24 through the ManeHub portal.
When does the fall 2026 semester end at LMU?
Fall classes end Friday, December 11, and final exams run Monday, December 14 to Friday, December 18, 2026, per the registrar's calendar.
Does LMU have a fall break?
Not a full week. Friday, October 9 is Autumn Day with no classes, and the Thanksgiving Holidays run Wednesday, November 25 to Friday, November 27, 2026.
When is LMU spring break in 2027?
Spring Break Holidays are Monday, March 1 to Friday, March 5, 2027. LMU also takes Easter Holidays from Wednesday, March 24 to Friday, March 26.
When is LMU commencement in 2027?
The registrar lists Commencement Day 1 on Saturday, May 15 and Commencement Day 2 on Sunday, May 16, 2027, with graduation events on May 13 and 14.
Travel and where to stay
What is the closest airport to LMU?
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). LMU describes the Westchester campus as approximately four miles north of the airport, reached by Sepulveda Blvd and Lincoln Blvd to LMU Drive.
Where do I catch an Uber or Lyft at LAX?
Taxi and rideshare pickups happen at a dedicated lot next to Terminal 1. Walk there on the signed path or take the free shuttle from outside baggage claim on the first level.
How much does visitor parking cost at LMU?
On weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., visitor parking runs $5 for up to 40 minutes, rising to $20 for more than 100 minutes. Parking is free on weekends and university holidays, except during special events.
Does LMU have hotel discounts for families?
Yes. LMU's local hotels page lists rates and codes for 2026 at hotels in Westchester, near LAX and in Marina del Rey, such as Sonesta LAX at $145 to $165 a night with code LMU. Inclusion is not a university recommendation.
Move in and move out
Can my student stay in the residence hall over winter break?
Residence halls and suite style buildings close for winter break. For 2026 the closing is Friday, December 18, and students leave within 24 hours of their last final or by 5:00 p.m., whichever comes first. Apartments stay open. Students with no alternative accommodations can apply for winter break housing through the Student Housing Portal, but it is not guaranteed.
What furniture comes in an LMU residence hall room?
Each room has two extra long twin beds (38 by 80 inches), two desks, two chairs, two chests of drawers, two bookshelves and window coverings. Students bring their own bed and bath linens.
What happens if my student skips a move out step?
Student Housing charges a minimum $100 improper move out fee for each required step not completed, including the PreMove Out Form and the Check Out Confirmation Form.
Health, safety and local life
What is my student's mailing address at LMU?
Use your student's name, then Loyola Marymount University, 1 LMU Drive, MSB [number], Los Angeles, CA 90045. Your student finds the MSB number in PROWL under Campus Mail Address.
Where should my student go if they get sick at night?
Student Health Services is open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. After hours, LMU points students to urgent care or an emergency department; the closest ER it lists is Marina del Rey Hospital at 4650 Lincoln Blvd, 1.90 miles away. In an emergency call 911.
How do I put money on my student's OneCard?
Family members can make a deposit online through the OneCard Office's guest deposit link using the student's Campus ID number.

What is the Campus Safety phone number at LMU?
Campus Safety Services is at 310.338.2893, or 222 from any campus landline. The office is in the Foley Annex and its email is public.safety@lmu.edu.
Can I see my student's grades or records?
Records are protected by FERPA, so your student decides. The registrar offers an Authorization to Release Student Records form your student can complete; reach the registrar at registrar@lmu.edu or 310.338.2740.

Housing and daily life
Student Housing. Room assignments, move in slots, winter break housing, move out steps and fees. Email housing@lmu.edu or call 310.338.2963. After move in, your student's area office (North, East, West or South) is the quickest local contact.
OneCard Office. Lion Wallet deposits, lost cards and meal plan balances. University Hall, Suite 1100, 310.338.2735, onecard@lmu.edu, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Wednesday hours to 7 p.m. while classes are in session.
Parking and Transportation. Visitor parking and permits. University Hall, suite 1766, 310.338.1681, parking@lmu.edu.
Distribution Center. Missing or oversized packages, and anything temperature sensitive you plan to send. Email dchd@lmu.edu.
Money and records
Financial Aid. Aid packages, documents and questions about awards. Charles Von der Ahe Building, Suite 270. Call 310.338.2753 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific, or email finaid@lmu.edu.
Office of the Registrar. Academic calendars, transcripts, enrollment verification and degree records. Von der Ahe Suite 150, 310.338.2740, registrar@lmu.edu. To see records, your student can complete the registrar's Authorization to Release Student Records form.
Health and wellbeing
Student Health Services. Illness, injuries, vaccinations and preventive care. Burns Recreation Center, first floor, 310.338.2881, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Student Psychological Services. Counseling, with an after hours therapist reached through the same line. Burns Recreation Center, second floor, 310.338.2868.
Safety and support
Campus Safety Services. Campus emergencies (after 911 for anything life threatening), free rides to the hospital, and LMU Alert. Foley Annex, 310.338.2893 (222 from a campus phone), public.safety@lmu.edu.
