Embry Riddle Prescott keeps its Health and Wellness Center and Counseling Services together in Haas Commons, Building 73, and Campus Safety answers (928) 777-3333 around the clock. Off campus, most of what your student needs, from the hospital to the pharmacy to groceries, is along Willow Creek Road.

If your student is sick

On campus: the Prescott Health and Wellness Center is in Haas Commons, Building 73, at (928) 777-6653 or prwellnesscenter@erau.edu. It offers preventive care, flu shots, treatment for injuries and wellness education. Hours are not posted on the public page, so have your student call before walking over.

After hours: the university's guidance is simple. For an emergency on campus, call Campus Safety at (928) 777-3333. Off campus, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Hospital emergency room: Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center West, 1003 Willow Creek Road, (928) 445-2700, open 24/7 for emergencies. Its East campus at 7700 East Florentine Road in Prescott Valley, (928) 442-8100, also has a 24/7 emergency department.

Urgent care: NextCare Urgent Care sits at 2062 Willow Creek Rd, (928) 443-5103. Check its location page for current hours before you send your student over.

Counseling and support

Prescott Counseling Services, also in Haas Commons, Building 73, offers short term counseling, consultation and referrals at (928) 777-3312 or prcounsel@erau.edu. The counseling page also lists the Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741) and the 988 Lifeline online chat at 988lifeline.org.

Pharmacies

Two pharmacies sit along Willow Creek Road: Walgreens at 1310 Willow Creek Rd, (928) 227-9965, with the pharmacy open until 8pm, and the Safeway Pharmacy at 1044 Willow Creek Rd, (928) 445-4550, open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm with shorter weekend hours.

Campus Safety

The Campus Safety and Security Department works out of Building 14, between the Cashiers building and the Mailroom. The same number, (928) 777-3333, covers emergencies and non emergency calls. Students can request a Safe Walk escort any day of the year through the Eagle Guardian app (listed as Rave Guardian in app stores), which also sends push alerts and allows anonymous tips. The campus has 28 blue light emergency phones. Lost items are kept at Building 14 for about 30 days.

Mail and packages

The Mailroom sits next to Building 14. The public university pages we checked do not give the student mailing address format, so ask your student for their exact mailing address before you ship anything. The campus street address is 3700 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ 86301.

Groceries and everyday errands

Safeway at 1044 Willow Creek Rd is open 6am to 10pm daily and shares a building with the pharmacy. A second Safeway is at 450 White Spar Rd.

Care packages

Time boxes around the calendar: a package that lands the week of Dec. 5 to 10 or May 1 to 6 arrives during finals, when snacks and a note from home count most. The university describes Prescott as a four season campus, so a warm hat or gloves in November is a practical gift for a student from a warmer state.
